OUR TEAM

Founders
Drs. Lorelei Silverman and Dr. Rosalind Silverman the founders of the team dedicate their work to the memory of their father, emeritus professor trained at Harvard, author of over 50 books in the field of Genetics, who has inspired them through hundreds of undergraduate, graduate, clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows and residents he trained and to their mother who was an award winning teaching professional. Their scientific career has been highlighted by teaching and mentoring, and they created one of the most successful pre-medical/postbaccalaureate programs in North America. They believe and practice giving back to the community and have initiated the most successful free workshop series for applying to professional schools and residency matching attended by thousands of students and IMGs from Ontario and beyond every year. 

Dr. Lorelei Silverman and Dr. Rosalind Silverman, the deans of the Pre-medical program, have been awarded the prestigious “Top 25 Canadian Immigrant award” in recognition for their contribution to biomedical research and integration of newcomers in the Canadian medical system. With a deep commitment to help new Canadians integrate in their professional field they have mentored hundreds of foreign trained professionals. Dr. Lorelei Silverman has over 20 years experience advising students for medical, dental, and graduate school. As a Dean of Academic Affairs and recruitment, Dr. Silverman is committed to create and expand one of the most successful pre-medical program in North America and the first postbaccalaureate program in Canada. Dr. Lorelei Silverman previous appointment was with Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Department of Physiology and Missouri State University, USA. She is also adjunct faculty with Albany College of Pharmacy. She received her PhD and MSc degrees  with distinction from York University. She also holds a MSc in Molecular Biology, and received her BSc Summa cum Laudae from UB and a clinical research associate from Michener Institute. She is the recipient of over 50 international and national awards including the prestigious postdoctoral fellowships NSERC and HSF at University of Toronto and specialized in Neurophysiology, Learning and Memory, Electrophysiology, and Cell Growth. She taught Animal Physiology at University of Toronto, various life science lab courses at York University, as well as Genetics, Cell Biology and other courses at the high school, college and university level. She coordinates the Service learning and outreach (former Science engagement course) and two research courses at University of Toronto Scarborough.
Dr. Silverman has an impressive list of scientific publications, book chapters, and is recipient of numerous awards including "Top 25 Immigrant award" in 2009 for her contribution to medical research and community involvement in helping foreign trained doctors and pre-medical students reach their career aspirations. Dr. Silverman is the cofounder of the International Conference Models of Human Diseases and Global medical health and Education and of monthly workshops on medical school application. She has successfully advised students and IMGs yearly for their medical school and residency application, and has guided them throughout their career development.

Dr. Clifford Falk
LLB, BSc​
Law school consultant/Editing division

Clifford Falk holds a JD in Juridical Sciences from SUNY at Buffalo and has a successful law firm Falk&Falk in Buffalo, NY, USA together with his partner Cynthia Falk. His areas of expertise cover business incorporation, immigration, bankruptcies, personal injuries, social disabilities, etc. Their parents Dr. Ursula and Gerhard Falk are very known American authors (over 25 books) and Dr. Gerhard Falk is a very famous sociology and history professor at Buffalo University. This background has nurtured further Mr. Falk’s interest in fostering academic excellence and academic counselling specializing in law school admission in USA and Canada. 
Dr. Genadi Roizman PhD, MSc
Physics and Mathematics Division Director

Associate Professor, Missouri State University, USA

Dr. Roizman teaches Physics, Calculus, Statistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Dr. Roizman has over 30 years of experience of teaching diverse courses at university, college, and high school levels in Canada, Israel, and Europe. Dr. Roizman received his MSc degree in Physics (Physical Optics) with distinction and his PhD degree in Astrophysics. Dr. Roizman has authored over 20 scientific articles as well as 2 textbooks in Astronomy for high-school students and teachers. His teaching experience includes delivering General and Computational Physics courses at university levels, diverse computer science courses (such as Discreet Mathematics, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, etc.) at Bar-Ilan University branches in Israel, teaching AP Physics and AP Calculus, and other mathematics and computer science courses at Ontario colleges and high schools. As a professor, Dr. Roizman encourage his students to use their creativity for solving challenging problems, to express freely their ideas, to listen and respect their opponents, to cooperate and contribute as team members. Many of his former students keep in touch with Dr. Roizman after their graduation. In addition to teaching, Dr. Roizman worked for several years at high-altitude observatories in the mountains of Pamir, Caucasus, and Tien-Shan, studying magnetic activity of flare stars.


Johnny Su, BSc, MD candidate McMaster University 
Science Lecturer/MCAT instructor

Johnny Su is our MCAT instructor for Chemistry and Physics. He also tuaght Math and Psychology. Johnny graduated from the University of Toronto with high distinction, obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Animal Physiology and Immunology. He has achieved a total score of 520 on the latest MCAT exam, representing a 98 percentile. Johnny was accepted into several Canadian medical schools and is now an MD candidate at McMaster University. Throughout his undergraduate studies, Johnny was actively engaged in translational medical research in areas such as diabetes, atherosclerosis and Staphylococcus aureus infections. As an instructor, Johnny encourages students to attempt challenging problems and provides valuable test-taking strategies that facilitate his students’ success in standardized tests.


Jayashree Nirgund, BSc, MSc
Science Lecturer/ MCAT instructor

 
Jayashree Nirgund is our part time instructor for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for MCAT. She graduated from SASTRA University in India with high distinction, obtaining a bachelor of technology in Bio-Engineering. She went on to complete her Masters in Medical Nanotechnology from Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology, USA. She has won many national and International Science Olympiads, scholarships and has an extensive research experience in Nanomedicine, Drug delivery Systems, Cancer biology and Molecular biomechanics. She obtained 99th percentile in sciences in MCAT, worked as a TA during her university studies and worked as a consultant for an educational animation company.

Our team members speak several languages and we have access to interpreters and translators in English, French, Romanian, German, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hindi, Hebrew, Italian, Chinese, etc.

Our consultant advice is based on a wealth of education background, practical experience, and access to broad resources. We strive to offer the best advice to our students and to achieve maximum chances of success; however, we can not guarantee your success.

Our success rates are close to 95% and we take pride in offering alternative career path or alternative schools when we assess that your application will not be competitive for your chosen field or schools you intend to apply. In doing so we discuss with you motivation, goals, identify strength and weakness and try to create alternative plans right from the beginning to minimize the time needed to change course of actions.

Your privacy and confidentiality is of uttermost importance for us and we take all appropriate measures to ensure that any information you share with us  is held in confidence, unless you give us written permission to use it in success stories testimonials, cases presented at workshops. 

Cancellation Policy


Please provide us with at least a 48 hour notice for cancellation and rescheduling your appointment. In case of no or late cancellation a 50% fee may be charged.

Mini Med school camp ambassador
- Want to make some extra cash this month?
We are looking for passionate, outgoing, enthusiastic high school, undergraduate, and graduate students to act as Med school camps ambassadors. We will provide you with posters and e-marketing instructions and tools. You can also later be involved with activities related to running the camp.
A recruitment fee of $50 will be paid for each high school student you register for our summer camp. Please send your resume and a cover letter to Dr. Lorelei Silverman at rosilverman@gmail.com. We thank all those who apply; however only successful applicants will be contacted for an interview.
